Decision Support

Option Evaluation identifies what configurations the logic supports. Decision Support is what happens next. Clinical, governance, and operations experts work alongside the client through the choices the model surfaces: what each viable configuration requires organisationally, the risk profile of relaxing a hard rule, and the operational change involved.

When real-world performance does not land in the range the model predicted, the work does not stop. Boole stays until it does.

What this delivers

Expert interpretation of modelled options across clinical, governance, and operational dimensions

The mathematical output is one input. Clinical, governance, and operations specialists work through what each viable configuration means in practice.

Assessment of cultural and change implications for each viable configuration

Some configurations the logic supports are ones the organisation is not currently structured to implement. This establishes that before a programme is committed.

Risk analysis when options involve relaxing or modifying hard pathway rules

Where a viable configuration requires changing a hard rule, the risk implications are assessed explicitly, not assumed away by the model.

Support until the configuration is working in practice

When real-world performance does not land in the feasible range, the engagement continues. Undocumented practices not captured in the original observation work are identified and resolved.

How it works

Decision Support typically follows an Option Evaluation. Once the model has surfaced the viable configurations, structured working sessions bring together clinical, governance, and operations specialists to work through each option in turn: what it requires organisationally, what it means for existing rules and accountabilities, and whether the organisation is positioned to implement it.

The engagement carries an explicit ongoing commitment. If the selected configuration is implemented and real-world performance does not land in the feasible range the model predicted, the engagement continues. The cause is identified, including undocumented practices not visible in the original observation study, and resolved.

This is not a retained modelling subscription. It is expert partnership until the problem is solved. The work ends when the configuration is performing as the model indicated it should.

The model gives the answer. Decision Support gets you there.
